I’ve been shortlisted.

As further good start to 2023, I was informed last week that an image that I had submitted to the RPS’ Women In Photography Woman Science Photographer of the Year award had been shortlisted.

As a result, I was invited to attend the award meeting at RPS house in Bristol. It was an excellent opportunity to learn more about the other photographers’ submissions and their specific areas of interest within the wide range of scientific imaging.

My hope is that the shortlisting can generate interest in my forest-based work in 2023, allowing me to work collaboratively with others in ecology and conservation contexts. The work will achieve its fullest potential when approached from a cross-disciplinary angle, hopefully becoming more far-reaching and accessible as a result.
